Has anyone heard of the status of the Perth leg of Semi Permanent?
Last I checked Perth was listed as TBC, now Perth seems to have dropped off their website completely.

Does not surprise me. You need a good attendance to make it viable, if there is not sponsorship, it just doesn't happen. And of late the presenters for Perth have been a little below par.

Perth presenters were always below par, but that doesn't mean they should give it the arse. The support for semi-perm has been huge in my oppinion, i know for sure the first 2 years here sold out, not sure about last year though.

So really, if they're selling out their chosen venues, attendance was covered. Sponsorship always looked a bit loose this side of the country, but they made it happen 3 years in a row, so it cant be that bad. Really i think it comes down to the lack of quality presentations, last year all the people i wanted to hear didn't bother coming here, so i didn't bother going.

The years prior there was at least 2 excellent presentations that made me feel like it was money well spent.

Same here... The sponsorship angle will be why they are not coming.

I emailed them with my query.

The response was... "Perth may be moving to later in the year. mainly for venue reasons. keep an eye on the site for updates."

So we may still get it - however I would imagine the list of speakers to be different from what is soon to happen over east.
