Hi Guys

Need 2cts from any experts on this.

We recently sent an email campaign using Campaign Monitor - The odd thing was when testing we did not get the test emails - and looking at the NDR it seemed that our exchange environment had deemed it spammy due to the content!

There was no mention of viagra or enlarging anything so I was surprised. Also then discovered that for those using outlook without exchange it put it in the junk folder so that lead me to believe that outlook junk mail filters obviously use the same filtering technique that exchange Edge transport servers do.

Campaign Monitor has got a paid service where you can check your EDM on different platforms and spam weights - so I forked out on credits on that and got green ticks for everything - to my dismay all their test systems use filters that are set to low - whereas the default on outlook for most users seems to be high - so obviously this tool is not that useful.

Worst part is looking at the stats from previous campaigns 40-60% of the email clients are a variant of outlook - so obviously we have to get things right on outlook.

So my question is does anyone know a scanner that we can use for testing content?

Oh the EDM in question is - http://radiator.cmail1.com/T/ViewEmail/y/9DA71CA4CB33DBDB

thanks

Someone here made a good point, maybe it is the content the filters may be having a problem with...

ie. 'huge ... longer ... amazing...' - that's not going to get through any kind of spam filter

might I also add:
longer lasting, big boys, better fitting....

I tend to agree, seriously if you look at it from the view of bad heuristic filter then it will pick up the wrong intent. You just need more nouns in the copy to stop this.
