I have just moved over to Oz and have just revamped my website converting it from a static site to building a custom Wordpress theme, and filling it with new content and a new blog section.

I would be really grateful for any feedback.

Cheers,
Danny

Danny, overall I like the aesthetic. Though I find it a little confusing that you reference West Sussex in the footer?

I guess I can offer two points of advice...

1) Someone very wise once told me that the Cooper font is left to works of parody and other devious tom-fooleries. Maybe a typophile would like to elaborate here?
2) I think you have a good base, but I think you need to nail some sort of personality to the site. Envisage your market reading your site and imagine what they would expect from the copy/aesthetics/etc. If you think your market is "everyone" then you need to search deeper.

Good luck! (and welcome to Oz)

Thanks for the comments, I will take them into consideration.

Re the West Sussex reference I still have this in the footer as I am still working for some of my UK clients and UK law states you should show your register company details on your website.

Again thanks for the critique,
Danny

Hey dude,
On this page: http://www.danny-murphy.com/websites the lightbox graphics are under the <h2> tags on FF v3.

Other than that, I really like the layout and the look-and-feel, though I agree with the Beagle that your choice of font says alot. I'm no typographer, but if there was a font called "OnlyTakeMeKindOfSeriouslyButStillSeriously" I would totally do my site up in it.

I like the navigation and the way you've broken up your site's sections. I like (and admire) that you've got your pricing on there and it all seems to make sense to me.

I also like (and admire) that you're updating your blog with pictures of kangaroos doing it, something I wish I could've done when first coming here, though ditch the "Hello World" post now that it's a for real blog.

Welcome Danny, and best of luck to you.

Hi Jexley

Thanks for the comments.

When you say the Lightbox is below the <h2> tag do you mean that SFIR H2 tag appears in front of the images that pop up? I have had this before on other sites because flash renders at the upper most level. Can I ask a bit more about what FF version / Platform you are running on. I am using FF V3.08 on a mac at everything appears fine.

Was a difficult call being fresh off the boat wasn't sure what to charge / local acceptable hourly rate. But wanted potential clients to have a rough costing before they made an enquiry.

Really appreciate your review,
Danny

Hi Jexley

Been testing on a few different machines and found the problem. I needed to add wmode: 'transparent' to the sIFR javascript. I have had this before with live chat integrated app so luckily I knew where to start.

Cheers,
Danny
