There is an ultra cool User Experience Conference happening in Canberra this year. Running from August 26-28. This is Australia's premier conference for UX practitioners. UX Australia (http://www.uxaustralia.com.au/) brings together speakers from across the globe in Australia's capital city, Canberra.
