Bit Late now I know, but out of Curiosity, anybody going to or been to the PayPal Development days, and to get their free certification?

It's on tomorrow in Perth, just filled out an application, wonder if they are still taking them?

I just filled out an application too, no idea if I will find out before I would have to leave tomorrow morning... 6am.. :D ah well, will see!

yeah same here, haven't heard anything, it's a shame I only found out about it today. There will probably be an email waiting for me at 8am, "we look forward to seeing you" :D ah well, another time...

I was going to go: Mainly to throw things and give them my list of "100 reasons Paypal sucks for developers" list - but I have some rush work to do this morning.

I just got back from the Perth one, it was pretty good. Certainly a nice way to spend a Friday morning.

They kept it informal as there were around 20 to 25 people.

It wasn't about pushing PayPal down your throat. Obviously, they did talk about PayPal's benefits.

It was nice to hear they are localising their website content for Australia and pushing to establish a development community here.

I haven't been a fan of PayPal in the past and have gripes about my own experience paying with PayPal (for example, I can't change my address from New Zealand to Australia...), but I came away with a positive impression today and felt like re-evaluating what they offer (which is probably why they run these things in the first place).

No but that topic was raised and got an iffy answer that went something like:
maybe it'll come maybe will build a different product more suited to the AU market that works along the same lines.
