View Full Version : anyone had any experience with the Symfony framework?
I've inherited a site and am trying to get it running. I either need tips or a contractor :)
Hi Kay, I've worked with Symfony in the past. What's the problem?
Hi Kay, I've worked with Symfony in the past. What's the problem?
I've been given a site - two versions in fact, one that should run standalone and one that requires Symfony to be already installed. I need to get it running on shared hosting with no shell access. Thus far I've tried unzipping the standalone version in the web root and looking for config files but thus far no dice.
The client is trying to get help from the previous developer, but if that falls through I may need a contractor to spend a few hours on it... is that you?
Cheers
K.
Hi Kay
Yep I can help.
Config files are in yaml format and should be in the /apps/myapp/config/ directory.
You'll probably want to check the file paths in config/config.php for
$sf_symfony_lib_dir and $sf_symfony_data_dir
Mr C, my client would like an independent contractor to go through and evaluate the code, give her an independent opinion and an estimate of what's required to get it running and fix a couple of unresolved issues. Are you available? I'd have sent you a PM but I can't :)
Could you email me please? kay at clever starfish dot com.
Cheers!

A bit late to the party here, but did you get this sorted?
I've got significant Sf experience - Can help you get it setup.
Also it's not recommended symfony be run on a shared environment.
tsick, please don't reopen threads that are more than 3 months old... our new forum will automatically close old threads, but at the moment we're not able to :)
