Hi All
I'm currently looking to get a website built for an architect firm.
I have a good understanding of what I'm after and will sketch out my own template layout for the designer to pretty up and I have a pretty good idea of what I want regarding site features and CMS stuff - I would rather locked down fields rather than a WYSIWYG editor.
Below are some of the sites I kinda like the look of (I don't necessarily like all elements of all the below sites, just bits of each of them).
http://www.graypuksand.com.au
http://www.hassell.com.au
http://www.batessmart.com.au
http://www.sophiekyron.com.au
If you would like to put your hand up for some business please post a link to some of your work. I'll take a look and get in touch for a quote.
Thanks
Jellybean
When you say "site features and CMS stuff", are you saying you would like a custom CMS build?

I don't know heaps about this stuff. I've been told a little bit about open source versus custom built.
I don't mind what it is as long as it does what I'm after.

Hi Jellybean,
Are you a consultant or the architect looking for web development company?
We did http://machin.com.au a few months ago and did look at some of the ones you have mentioned in your post..
Cheers

The architect is my dad. I'm getting quotes together for him as he didn't know where to start. A friend put me onto this site.

Some architectural - type websites we've done for clients:
http://maccarch.com.au/
http://samteohpublic.powercreations.com.au/
We've got another one in development at the moment, but the client hasn't signed off for it to go live so we can't show you it just yet.
More than happy to give you a quote, feel free to contact us on 1300 737 268, ask for Ben.

Ashul, On this page
http://machin.com.au/Projects/Capability.aspx
'Capability' is spelled wrong above the copy space...
AWESome site though. Really slick.

Thanks to everyone for their suggested sites and posts.
Also thanks to all the private messages.
I have enough to go off now, I'll finish off the scope doc with advice from my friend and get it through to some of you to quote.
Cheers
