Said appointment may or may not involve my oldest child wearing a 97-year old cowboy hat in a school assembly, not sayin' either way.

Last trip to the US I brought back "Ol' Roy" a relic from my first real ranchhand gig. I'd bring it so you could wear it, but it smells. Like mouldy and shit.

Which is precisely why I'll be monitoring boychild so closely while he dons it in his play. So he doesn't take it off and throw it in disgust. I mean, you can always wash a head, but that hat's worth more than his head.

I remember saying I'll blog about it, but the amount of trouble we've had with it, I might write a book if I can be bothered.
