Help no sound

Hey thought i would give it a try here even thou its a web forum not a software forum but there's a good chance that someone might know.

I deleted what i thought was an unused program last night and now i cant get any sound. my media player has this message when i go to use it "C00D11BA while using Windows Media Player". It seems like i have deleted my sound driver?

Is there a place on the web where i can download the standard windows xp/ media player sound driver. I also have a sound card installed on my mother board but dont know what model it is.

Do you have you xp disk? You should be able to repair it from that.
