Early in the design process, wireframes can be used to test concepts, identify gaps and opportunities, and allow website users and stakeholders to provide feedback. QUT’s current redesign project will be presented as a case study.

Ruth Henry: Agile Acceptance Tests
This talk is about how we use Agile Acceptance Tests. These tests are a mix of a function test and an acceptance test. First the developer completes the User Interface (UI) layouts from the UI guidelines and wireframes. Then the UI is tested using the test scripts that have been created from the user stories.

Nathan Hoad: Using Inkscape for Mockups
Inkscape is an open source vector graphics editor that works great for quickly mocking up interfaces for web apps.

Ben discusses why layouts and other facets for the web shouldn't be created in graphic programs (like Photoshop or Inkscape) and will cover basic templates and presents common errors stemmed from purely graphically prototyping.
