I have been working on my own pet project in my spare time, but it has come to a stage now where another pair or eyes and a couple of hands could make a big difference to the project. I have tried to look on various forums but so far have been rather unsuccessful in getting others interested. Unfortunately I am not in the financial position to hire somebody full time. Ideally I would be looking on getting a team together and work on it as a joint venture.
What I am looking for is any ideas to attract other interested developers. The project uses Java (JSF, J5EE) on the server side and C, C++ one the client side. Any pointers are greatly appreciated. Alex |

Hi Alex,
I'm assuming it's a software based project - this is predominantly a web based forum AFAIK. At the risk of stating the obvious, have you put the feelers out in the software community (forums, etc)? Cheers, Joel |

and software is on the web too ya know. Lost I think you may get a better response if you show people something or have something demonstrate/explain. I don't think people are just going to bite on it so emptily.

The project is AddressBookServer.com which has both a web component as well as some installed software ones.
Any suggestion for any other local forums in WA which focus around software development? Thanks Alex |
