In this month's captivating episode, Port80 geeks and Port80 people who think 'geek' is not a term we should use to describe ourselves will get together to drink beer and non-beer while BRAINSTORMING ideas for Port80 and navel-gazing on the subject of AWIA generally.

There is no need to RSVP as we expect only modest numbers and you're not very reliable at RSVPing anyway.

I think we use eventbrite when we've got limited numbers, but it's basically here and on the Facebook Page where we announce dates/times.

Though that said last night, while quiet and just a few of us, was a lovely time with some good folks and some interesting ideas and discussion did ensue. For the year ahead, we're definitely going to focus our efforts on using our Social Media outlets more efficiently and spreading the word a bit wider and far-er.

To everybody there last night, thanks for coming and for your input. I thought it was great to get that kind of atmosphere going and get some of the ideas flowing. Plus, I just rhymed.

I would have been a fish outta water. Some random guy walks up to random people who already know each other in a bar. Not the makings of frictionless meet. Guess thats what the alcohol is for!

Mate, this is HOW I got to know these people in the first place. Besides, I didn't know a few of 'em before that night either, that's part of the fun!
