Default Food Ordering Website

Hi all,

I have been trolling around on these forum for a bit decided that I'd create an account and share my work.

The demo portal is

demo.efoodorder.com

Main site is
http://www.efoodorder.com

Idea is restaurants can create there own website (ie the demo url) where they can offer their products online for people to pre order online.
I still have many features I'd like to add, but I've got to a point were I'd like to get some feedback from people.

So any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Cheers

Luke

Sweet.

I'd like to see some info around "what happens when I order?". ie., if I place an order on the site.. I don't really know if the restaurant got it until I get an email or an sms or something, right?

Nice idea, good luck with it.

Nice site, I think the design is good - simple and clean

Personally, I'd remove the Google Adwords - I think it cheapens the site a little.

The Restaurant Categories links (/Tag/test-other-one) aren't working - just get the ugly old .net app error page. I'm assuming this just hasn't been completed yet so no biggie.

Good luck with it, hope it goes well.

Cheers,
Joel

yeah I hate ads as much as the next guy but it makes the world go round.
Plus I kind of hoping it would give people an incentive register etc

The site looks good. If I was a restaurant owner I would want to change the background and some of the colours. I'm guessing you are adding that in the future.
I'm sure the restaurant owners don't care about the ad revenue (I'm assuming you are returning the revenue to the owner? based on the previous comment)
As for ordering food online... Your main competition is menulog. See how they order and feedback to the user.

If I was to do this, I would concentrate on building an small ordering/menu widget that could be incorporated into the restaurants own page. A lot of restaurants already have their own site.

Then you could just sell them website design as a separate business or partner with others to provide it.

In today's demanding world, more and more people are turning to the web for simple ways to order food from their favorite restaurants. If you are a business owner and don't have your own website, there is a good opportunity you are losing business to your competitors. In addition, having a website does not promise that you will get the desired users coming to your site and this is where eatonline, an expert on online restaurant menus and online ordering can help.
