Default Sharepoint?

Hi all

I'm looking for anecdotal evidence of using Sharepoint as a CMS. My hunch is that there may be a lot of horror stories and wariness out there...

Keen to hear your thoughts.

Sharepoint is pretty comprehensive and complicated compared to most CMSs. Out of the box it does a lot, but customising it is hard if you have to code it, but there's a big market of controls and plugins out there.

On the plus side lots of big corporations in Perth use it for their internal intranets and workflow forms and so on, so any experience you get with Sharepoint can get you into that lucrative field.
