Hi all,
I've been working on a business idea for a while and have come to the realisation that I don't have the time or talent to do it all. I've been developing with PHP/MySQL since the late 90s and worked at several Perth web design/dev companies a number of years ago. I diverted to the dark side (the mining industry) 6 years ago I have a commerce degree from UWA, majoring in Accounting and eCommerce. What I'm looking for is an experienced web developer to partner up with. This person should be much better than me Whilst I spent several years programming and have kept my skills up to scratch over the years, there's gotta be a heap of guys out there who are better and faster than I. The idea is that this person would work on all things technical, while I focus on Business Development. I will continue to assist on the technical side wherever possible also. You would probably need to dedicate 15-20 hours a week in the initial stages. The time or day does not matter. I think this would suit someone who is employed as a developer Mon-Fri, and is looking for something a bit more interesting to be involved in, in their spare time. Interesting in that it'll be something that you are truly a part of and where you will benefit with its success. I'm not going to say much about it here, other than that it has a clear revenue strategy and is fashion related. An interest in fashion would be beneficial but is not required. I'm looking for someone in Perth, as I prefer to do things face-to-face. I'm after someone with experience in as many of the following as possible (probably in order of importance): - Development (PHP, JavaScript/jquery, HTML/CSS) - eCommerce systems (Lemonstand would be great) - System Integration - Architectural Design - Version Control - Online Security - Database Design - Server Configuration and Administration - Helpdesk/Ticket systems - UX Design I don't know what I'm offering for this yet. It really depends on what you can bring to the table and how much time you can put in. It'll be some form of profit-sharing/ownership split. I won't make any claims about how brilliant the idea is right now... I'd rather do that in person. Send me an email with some details about yourself and I'll respond with the same. If it seems like a good fit we can catch up for a coffee and I'll explain some of my ideas, or show you the current progress. I have spent a fair amount of time on this already (business plans, functional design, mockups) and I have a good amount of capital to invest when required. I encourage anyone who's interested to get in touch, even if you don't fit the bill described above perfectly. Worst case is you'll get a free coffee or beer out of it. Email me: basilv \at\ gmail \dot\ com Cheers Basil
