lol, thanks again. For anyone who didn't go last night the committee surprised the **** out of me by presenting me with an AWIA award for Outstanding contribution to the Australian web industry (the second time the award has been given - the first one was to Miles Burke in 2005). Big AWA-style trophy that doubles as a disemboweling implement too. I'm absolutely honoured and very humbled, and I was completely embarrassed. But the only thing I could think of for my "on the spot" acceptance speech was a spiel about how the web industry is really just a series of pub events, and I excel at volunteering after alcohol has been served. Sad but true.

However, I've realised I have no where to go anymore. A few months of rock star arrogance, spiralling substance abuse and increasingly erratic behaviour leading to a stint in rehab, a very public relapse, then more rehab where maybe I find god. Then perhaps I'll write a book, heh. Sounds like a plan...
