I always thought about is having a resume database site, then I would think about it some more and think about all the marketing and advertising just to get people to put their resume on site, then we have to get the employers to not only visit the site but to put in those 12 did-gets of their c/c. Man it all to hard, plus I would have to get somebody to do it for me as I am not IT person.
The media giants that control the on and offline job market would have me for breakfast, I would lose my beach house and would be living on the streets, without a job. After coming to this conclusion I did keep thinking about this for years. Then a few months ago I did find myself on Google Sites, I up loaded my resume and a lot of other crap all in a few minutes, I was creating a site yippee. Since then I have made a few more and now I have one that I don't mind if my future employers see. All I have to do is send a cover letter with the link in it, if he likes my resume he has a download button at the bottom. It is a lot easer to store a web address than it is to store a resume, people want change their web address as much as they change and update their resume. Why isn't this done more, do you only have web site when you are applying for an IT job? Jon |

Do you give employers access to linkedin account when applying for a job, to down load your resume? I dont think recruiters have much control, they are at the mercy of the their client the employer, this is why they try to tie them in with contracts. |
