Default Looking for a particular program

Hi all,

Now please don't think I am totally useless! But this is my first time in here, (I have just started Uni working towards a BA in Internet Communications) and also getting my little web design business going with a fellow web designer and friend. So far so good!

So here is my questions! I once did work for a person who was a web designer, and my job was to enter all the images (thumb nail and large) and prices etc into a system for the client. It had options for drop down menu's and things for the shopping cart! You would enter the name of it and what category it went in!

I CAN NOT for the life of me remember what this program was! Does anyone have any idea what it may have been!? I don't think it was the normal cPanel.

If anyone could help me figure it out, I would like to use the same thing! But I guess having 3 kids since working, the brain is a little on the slow side!

Thanks heaps, DesignGirl

Hmmm. That could be any number of CMSs. If you don't know remember any details about it, it's almost impossible to say, but some of the more popular off-the-shelf ecoms systems are OSCommerce and Magento. Or maybe Joomla.

If you can remember the client, find their website, then "view source", you may be able to find a reference to the underlying engine. Can you contact the web designer and ask? If you can't remember who they were, again check the client's site as the web designer probably put a "built by" link at bottom of site, or in the page code.

cheers
Natalie
